📱 How do I add a new masjid?
Download the MasjidConnect mobile app and use the "Contribute" tab to add a masjid. Simply provide the masjid's name, location, and basic details. Our moderation team will verify and approve the submission within 24-48 hours. Every contribution is Sadaqah Jariyah!
🕌 Can I claim a masjid profile as an admin?
Absolutely! Visit our Become Admin page to register as a masjid administrator. You'll need to verify your authority to manage the masjid (e.g., as an imam, committee member, or authorized representative). Once approved, you can update prayer times, add photos, post events, and manage donations.
💳 Are donations secure? Do you take any fees?
Yes, all donations are 100% secure and processed through Stripe, a globally trusted payment platform used by millions of businesses worldwide. We do charge a small 5% fee of your donation. This helps us maintain the platform and support our mission. 95% of your donation goes directly to the masjid you support. Stripe's standard processing fees apply, which are typically around 2.9% + 30p per transaction.
✏️ How can I report incorrect information?
Use the "Suggest Edit" feature in the mobile app on any masjid profile. You can update prayer times, correct addresses, or suggest other improvements. Our moderation team reviews all suggestions within 24-48 hours. Verified information helps the entire Ummah!
🌍 What areas does MasjidConnect cover?
We're building global coverage! Currently, we have 2,000+ masjids mapped across the UK, with the strongest coverage in the UK, USA, Canada, Pakistan, and other major Muslim communities. We're continuously expanding—help us by adding masjids in your area!
📸 Can I upload photos of masjids?
Yes! In the mobile app, you can upload photos of masjids to help others recognize them. Please ensure photos are respectful, clear, and show the exterior or prayer hall. Photos are moderated before being published to maintain quality and appropriateness.
🕰️ How accurate are the prayer times?
Prayer times are calculated using accurate astronomical data based on each masjid's precise location. Masjid admins can also manually update the times to match their congregation's schedule. If you notice incorrect times, please use the "Suggest Edit" feature or contact the masjid admin directly.
